The IBYD Leadership and Resilience Scholarship
The IBYD Leadership & Resilience Scholarship is awarded to a young woman who has overcome personal, family, or systemic challenges and continues to lead with courage, purpose, and vision. This scholarship honors story, strength, and perseverance as much as academic achievement.
This scholarship recognizes a young woman who continues to show up for themselves and others, even when the path hasn’t been easy. Leadership doesn’t always look loud. Sometimes it looks like endurance, growth, and choosing to keep going.
Applicants must:
Be a female student
Demonstrate leadership and resilience through school, community, or personal experiences
Be a first-generation college student or have overcome significant personal challenges
Have a cumulative 2.5 GPA or higher
Be a high school senior planning to enroll in a post-secondary institution
Be willing to share their story through a written, creative project, or video response
Selection Process
The IBYD Leadership and Resilience Scholarship is a privately funded award of $750. Applications are reviewed by an independent committee to ensure fairness and integrity. The founder of Inspired By Your Destiny does not participate in the selection process.

Application
Applying for the Inspired By Your Destiny Leadership & Resilience Scholarship is simple and designed to highlight your journey, growth, and potential. To apply, complete the online application form and provide the name and email of someone who can give you a recommendation.
Your recommender will receive a link to submit their letter directly. All submissions must be completed by March 31st, 2026. Once your application is received, it will be reviewed by our independent scholarship committee, and you will be notified of the outcome. This process is designed to honor your leadership, resilience, and the unique story that makes you who you are.

Timeline
IBYD Scholarship Timeline – 2026
February 15th, 2026:
Scholarship applications officially open.
Applicants can begin completing the online form, submitting their personal statement, story, and recommender information.
March 31st, 2026:
Student application deadline.
All personal statements, stories, and recommender names/emails must be submitted by this date.
April 7th, 2026:
Recommendation deadline.
All letters of recommendation must be submitted by this date.
Reminder: Students submitting close to March 31st should confirm that their recommenders are aware of this deadline.
April 8th – May 15th, 2026:
The scholarship committee reviews all applications and recommendations.
May 17th, 2026:
Applicants are notified of the committee’s decisions.
May 18th, 2026:
Official announcement of the scholarship recipient on the Inspired By Your Destiny website and social media platforms (if recipient has given permission).
